Bags and Boots

My girl loves bags and boots. She doesn't have any boots of her own...yet. But, she LOVES Chesson's. She insisted on wearing this all morning. I tried to put her shoes on before we left the house, but she wasn't having any of it. Honestly, I kind of love it:o)
"hmmm, can I carry these two bags?"
"Yes.I.Can."

Can you guess...

..what's happening here?
For those of you reading that don't have toddlers in your house....buckets + towels + tv = the stomach flu! Only Chesson got sick this go around. I made Anna Corbin sit on the towels all day just in case. She was very interested in Chesson's bowl...ewww....so, I gave her one to play with:o) Thankfully, it was short-lived and everyone is well now!

True Story Tuesday

Do you ever feel like your life is hysterical (funny hysterical...crazy hysterical...either or both)? I truly love my life...but, some days I really can't believe the unexpected things that happen. Welcome to True Story Tuesday....
6:45 am - I hear a thud. Corbin comes into our room (he is headed out to a breakfast meeting). Me - are you ok?
Him -no
me - what (while jumping out of bed and turning on a light)
Him - I hit my head and I'm bleeding all over the place.
At this point I have so many questions...but, mostly...HOW?! The good news here is he isn't in a ton of pain. He's just really annoyed. Annoyed he's bleeding. Annoyed that I'm telling him he needs stitches. Really annoyed that I'm telling him he needs a tetanus shot.
As he leaves for breakfast, still bleeding (that's right, he's not going to the doctor) I hear chesson saying, 'Mama I peed all over my bed." sweet! I have to laugh. The washing machine is full of bloody towels. I already started them. Who could have predicted I'd need to do 2 loads of laundry before 7am?
Thankfully, the fella meeting Corbin encouraged him to go to the doctor (since his head was still bleeding). He did in fact get a shot and his head glued together:o)
I changed Chesson's sheets.
Bring it on Tuesday. Bring. it. on!

Aunt Byerly and Uncle Corbin

Yay for us!! We've never been an Aunt or Uncle before, and we are thrilled and smitten. Meet Weslyn Elizabeth Graves. She was born on Sept. 2nd and weighed in at nearly 9 lbs. Look at all that awesome hair!
Lawton and Sarah live in Florida. I still can't believe we were there when she was born. We had scheduled the visit months earlier, thinking Weslyn would have already been born. But, in true Graves baby fashion, she took her sweet time. I kind of think she was waiting for me to get there. :o)
