The Denver of the East

Aunt Becca and Uncle Brn are the most wonderful hosts! We had a great time...mostly hanging out by their awesome pool. -- I wish I was there right now. :o)
Chesson learned how to shoot a water gun - super fun!

He practiced kicking and swimming.

Anna Corbin enjoyed watching the action from her pool chair (I mean, bouncy seat).

Happy Birthday!!

Chesson officially turns two tomorrow - In true Gallion fashion, we've been celebrating since last weekend. My family likes to embrace the entire birthday month (or maybe that's just Becca and me)! Birthdays are just too fun to only celebrate for one day. -- Oh, how I love this little boy!!

Dear God, please let that be for me. Please!

I'm going in.

Watch and learn folks, watch and learn.

Happy Birthday to me!!

A Whole New World...

No, I'm not talking about Aladdin....I'm talking about MY. NEW. CAMERA!! Corbin gave me a sweet camera for my birthday, and I am IN LOVE! I am certainly not a photographer. However, I am enjoying learning all that this camera is capable of doing. My hearts desire is to capture the moments of my kids growing up. -- I feel like a little kid on Christmas morning!
Corbin posing for the 1st picture taken with my new camera!! Yay!!

Anna Corbin without red eyes (but, with red hair)!!! Yippee!!

I can't believe Chesson is turning 2 in less than a week!!

I'm still in shock - that this man (who is known to be a bit thrifty) bought me a camera that takes pictures like these!! All I can figure is he really, really loves me!!! I am a happy, happy girl.

Homeade is not always better:o)

Chesson and I made playdough this morning. We had a great time making it, and he did like playing with it (for about 5 minutes) It was just way to sticky. Little man does NOT like to have his hands dirty. He kept looking at his hands, looking at me, and saying "help." I think in this situation, store bought is better!

Class of '96

It just doesn't seem like it's been that long since we graduated from high school. I am so grateful to have kept in touch with these sweet friends over the years. We get together once a year for a girls night, but this year we thought we'd get the families together as well. Despite record breaking temperatures, and 8 kids under the age of 5, we had a wonderful time!!

Beach?

Anytime Chesson and I get in the car, he says "Beach?" "Waves?" This kid LOVES the ocean.
Ahhh - That's the face of a happy boy!

Our Peanut

I just can't believe Anna Corbin is 2 months old.
She is 10lbs 13oz, and she's jumped from the 10% in weight to the 48%!! -- She is 23.5 inches long and in the 87% for height. Her head is itty-bitty and in the 23%. Unlike Chesson, she is a long and lean little one. I am so excited that her hair is still red (it seems to be getting redder each day - yay) My guess is her eyes will turn brown, but Gigi has blue eyes - so who knows. Maybe she got all of our recessive genes.
--
I don't think she looks anything like Chesson. Check him out at 2 months. But, the two of them have other similarities. Just like her big brother, she has reflux. We have finally gotten her medicine worked out, and she is a much happier girl. She sleeps in her car seat, just like he did...but, we can't complain. She is sleeping through the night from 11-7. What a gift!!! If she is tired or hungry she cries, but otherwise, she's a very content baby.
---
I was a little unsure about life with a 20 month old and a newborn, but it's been a smooth transition. Chesson isn't phased by Anny Corbin, and he is very kind to her. Since the day he met her, he has called her Cor-Cor. It's really the cutest thing ever! The funny thing is, we have never called her Cor-Cor, he just decided that was her name and stuck to it.
---
We are settling into a great routine and thankful for such sweet children!!
