Gigi and G'daddy!

Gigi and G'daddy came to visit.  They are so good to us to drive all the way from FL to get some snuggles with their grandkids.  We spent a laid back weekend playing together.

One afternoon we went to the park and surprisingly had the whole place to ourselves.   The big kids had fun playing hide and seek while Walker got some special attention from...well, everyone:o)

a story of two cousins

Walker is only a few months older than his cousin Wesley.  They are the best of friends....obviously.

Wesley :  Hey, Walker did you see this bear. Walker:  Buddy, that bear is fine, but what you really need is something to chew on - like this green cup

Walker:  There you go!

Wesley: Man, this green cup is awesome.

Walker:  Wesley, your mama is so silly.
Wesley: I know, right?

Sharing toys to chew on is clearly a sign of friendship forever.

And guess what?!  There's another cousin...sweet Jac.  This summer is going to be so much fun!

Walker: Hey Wesley, where's your green plaid shirt?

Walker...again

This boy....I can't stand it.  I just love him to pieces.  He's starting eating (wearing) table food, and he loves it.

I couldn't resist this picture.  He's so happy to be sitting and to be outside.  We are loving this Spring weather.

Lego Mania

Chesson LOVES legos.  During the past year we have collected more than a few sets.  We are still trying to figure out the best way to store them.

Mama, I don't really have time to smile for a picture, can't you see I'm busy?

Recently, Chesson asked Corbin to help him sort his legos.  If you know Corbin...this was music to his ears.  These two sat for two hours sorting. They were so content.  Like father like son?

Bless 'em.  The legos are now completely sorted by color and these two are happy and proud!

Walker 8 months

I don't write about him every month, but these past couple of months are full of firsts!  He is starting to crawl.  It's mostly an army crawl right now, but he's getting up on his knees and rocking a little bit.  Anything to get to the basket of toys!

He's also spending some time in his Johnny Jump Up and his exersaucer.  This is huge because just 5 weeks ago he was working just to hold his head up.  Go - Walker - Go!

I also put him in his swing for the first time.  It might be a smidge to early to actually swing.  As he bangs his sweet little face when it's swaying to fast....but, he was happy just to sit there and dangle his legs.

The picture below went something like this.  "Do y'all want to hold Walker?  Ok, you have to hold him really tightly and no matter how much he squirms you can't let go. Got it?"  They proved to be up for the challenge:o)

5, 3, and 8 months

Snow....again....really....

Last week the weatherman was forecasting snow again.  As I recently mentioned, snow shuts this city down.  But, it's not usually a big deal as most folks are smart enough to stay off the roads and it usually only lasts for 24 hours.  This time was a little different.  They were calling for snow and ice....ice causes power outages in these parts.  Since Corbin was out of town for work,  we (without hesitation) loaded up and headed to my mom and dad's.  We arrived and there wasn't any snow.....honestly, I started to feel a little silly.  But, then the snow dumped down on our town.  In 30 minutes everything was covered.  Anyone who waited more than 10 minutes to leave work was stuck out on the roads.  It took my dad over 2 hours to get home.

Check it out....Anna Corbin got a snow coat upgrade and we found boots for Chesson.  He did not miss the Target bag snow boots:o)
these kids love to make silly faces!!

Being with my parents meant I could spend lots of time outside with the kids while my mom snuggled Walker.

Special time with Papa!

sledding, snowman building, snowball fighting, snow angel making, and exploring the snowy woods kept us busy for two days!

Chesson saw this sled and immediately said, "it's a dog sled."

Three days later the driveway was still covered.  My sweet dad shoveled it all so I could get my car up the hill.  He's a good one!!

It's exactly one week later and it's 70 degrees.  There isn't one snowflake left.  Ha!

Friends at Disney

What are the chances the you'll run into a dear college friend while your in Magic Kindgom?  Reggie texted me the day before because he heard from a friend we were going to be there.  So fun!!
