Pixies and Pirates

We celebrated Anna Corbin's 3rd birthday with her friends in our backyard.  She wanted a Tinkerbell birthday, as she loves all things Tink.  So Tink and Jake (Jake and the Neverland Pirates) were our theme.

I was icing cupcakes for Anna Corbin's birthday.  Annie saw opportunity:o) 

 She squeezed a little icing on Corbin.  

 Corbin is not known for equal or fair retaliation.  Clearly.

I thought I was safe since I had the camera, but they ganged up on me.  

Our life will be so very boring when Annie moves out.

Windy Gap 2013

18 years ago my life was changed at this place.  Throughout college I spent countless weekends working here with my best friends. 13 years ago I had the privilege to live here for a summer.  Never, ever, did I imagine I would be here with my family one day. My heart and soul are filled with joy as I think about all the amazing memories Windy Gap holds for me.

1st time on a horse - Finbar

Chesson's highlight was once again horseback riding!  I have to say, I thought Anna Corbin might be a little skittish, but she sat right on up in the saddle and smiled the entire time.  -- Our sweet Danielle was in the horse barn (she is one of our dear dear babysitters) and gave the kids a secret tour later where they were able to feed some of the horses.  Thanks Danielle!

Windy Gap -- It gives us the freedom to say YES to just about anything.  It gives the kids a place to explore and discover. It gives us the chance to laugh hard, sing loud, and hear the Good News!!  What a treat to spend a weekend soaking up this beauty.

Let's Go Fly a Kite

Every time I see a kite, I want to break into song.  My parents bought kites for the kids, and they were a HUGE hit.  We still can't believe Anna Corbin could hold hers....and that she didn't blow away.

We had the kids play Red Light Green Light up and down the boardwalk in hopes of just one good picture. Imagine my surprise to find all these winners!

Easter with our Annie Girl

It just seemed good and right to have Annie with us at the beach.  We have grown to love her so much, and our days are just more fun when she's around.

Easter Grab and Go 2013 (there is no hunting....just grabbing)

This was one of those days that was just plain fun!  

i was having a difficult time convincing anna corbin to collect anything other than pink :o)  she eventually came around.

there were more than 5,000 eggs.  every child filled their basket until it was overflowing, and there were eggs left over.

see what i mean....way too many eggs = way too much candy!

those are the extra eggs that no children picked up....
